Fine weather heralds the arrival of Tonbridge's biggest beer and music festival at Longmead, home of Tonbridge Angels FC this coming Friday

The Met Office is forecasting plenty of sunshine and pleasant summer temperatures in Tonbridge this weekend. Good job there's plenty of beer, cider and soft drinks available together with loads of outdoor space at this weekend's festival.

Angelfest, Tonbridge’s biggest beer and music festival will be taking place again for the sixth consecutive year. It will once again be staged in the Events Marquee at Longmead Stadium, home of Tonbridge Angels Football Club, over the Bank Holiday weekend of May 26th – 28th. The festival features more than 30 real ales, Belgian Beers, and ciders as well as wines in addition to the many local bands and acts performing on Saturday and Sunday. Opening times are Friday 4pm – 11.30pm, Saturday 12 noon – 11.30pm and Sunday 12 noon – 11pm.

Brand new to Angelfest on Friday, the opening night, Angelfest introduces 80’s night in association with Club Tropicana featuring DJ Fat Sharp. The whole evening will be dedicated to the fantastic music of the 80’s with WowFactor Parties providing the entertainment. The live music starts on Saturday and continues throughout the rest of the weekend featuring many local artists and bands. Saturday is Rock & Blues day, kicking off with festival favourites the Duvet Dogs and finishing with Spoilage. Sunday is Chilled Acoustic day starting with Sophie Mullan climaxing with the ever popular singalong band The Foghorns. For full details of all the acts and running order performing this year, as well as all the ales, Belgian Beers and ciders visit our website
by clicking here.

There will be hot and cold food available throughout including Thai Street Food. For the younger ones Box N Bounce are supplying an array of inflatables. There is a large field immediately outside the marquee in which the children can play whilst mum and dad enjoy the music and drinks whilst in the knowledge that the stadium is fully enclosed. There is ample free car parking and admission to the festival is also free.

Angelfest 6 will be raising money for Cancer Research UK this year and representatives from the charity will be in attendance throughout the weekend.

We are in desperate need of help for all sessions serving the beer this year.  For those of you that haven’t done it before, you don’t have to deal with a till or cash you just take tokens in exchange for beer or wine, so you literally just have to pour it. Many of you will have kindly helped out before and would be greatly appreciated if you were able to help again. it can be for as long or little as you can spare, every bit helps. Some of you may have children (obviously not under 18) that may want to help out. It is good fun and, although we are unable to pay for this help you are welcome to a beer or two on us for your time. Contact darren@tonbridgeangels.co.uk if you can help in any way.

Please pass this message on to anybody else you think may be interested in attending or helping behind the bar and feel free to use your social media to help spread the word and make Angelfest 6 the best one so far.
