Angels vs Enfield Town : 14.04.18. Programme Preview

3 months ago By Jim Rowe

Chairman Dave’s first edition

Our Matchday programme for the visit of Enfield Town, quite rightly features new Angels Chairman, Dave Netherstreet. He writes his first ‘News from the Boardroom’ column and is also featured in Matt Davison’s ‘One on One’ article where we learn more about this unassuming and modest gentleman who now, with all our help, leads the Club.

Both the 1st team and Ladies recorded fine victories during the week and these are described in the usual places by our various intrepid match reporters.

Steve McKimm brings us up to date with what’s been a busy few weeks of games most of them away from home in his usual column, but also in ‘Its a Funny Old Game’ recalls from his playing days when Gravesend & Northfleet won a league title and promotion to what is now the National League.

As the season draws to a close those stats become more interesting and there’s plenty of them with much about our players and not just the goal scorers but how they have performed defensively as well. There’s also comparison with our visitors Enfield Town on how the two teams have been performing.

Talking of the Towners, Simon Piper writes up the fascinating history of this supporter owned Club together with pen pics of the players we will be facing.

Finally, it wouldn’t be an Angels programme without ‘Terrace Talk’ from Club chaplain Neil Durling. This week via The Fans Forum he gathers the thoughts of some of our supporters to find out just why they come week after week home and away to follow a team called Tonbridge Angels.

Your award winning programme can be yours for just £2.50 on sale on Matchday from 1:00pm just inside the turnstiles.
