Passing of former Angels chairman

News has been received from Maylasia of the passing of former Angels Chairman, Ken Shellito on 31st October at age 78 following a lung infection and kidney complications.

Ken’s association with Longmead was during the late 1980’s/early 90’s but he is perhaps best remembered for his achievements for another team that plays in blue, Chelsea FC, for whom he appeared 123 times between 1959 and 1965 mainly as a full back together with one full international appearance for England in 1963.

He was later to become manager at Stamford Bridge and thereafter Cambridge United before becoming involved in Malaysian football.

The club passes on its sincere condolences to his wife and family at this sad time.
