Match Day catering at Longmead. Help Required!

3 weeks ago By Jim Rowe

Two vacancies now available

Catering at our 1st team home games at Longmead is an integral part of the many duties that have to be carried out on match days.

In order to maintain the very high standards that have been achieved in the past three years for the benefit of supporters, sponsors, players and officials we need more to join our bank of caterers in two specific areas:

Serving food and drink to supporters during games. This is a paid role based in the Tea Shack. You will need to be able to work in a busy environment and duties will include setting up and cleaning before and after the match, cooking and serving burgers, hotdogs, snacks and drinks.

Preparation of food for players, sponsors and other officials. Initially we are looking for someone to join the team in taking on some of the matches feeding the hungry players. Again remuneration will be offered on a match by match basis. Duties will include purchasing the food (money provided), cooking and clearing away.

Both these roles are arranged on a rota basis and so there is no commitment or expectation that you will be required every match day. The duties might well suit someone interested in developing a career in catering or the general hospitality industry or someone who has experience who wants to get more involved with the football club. A qualification in Food Hygiene Level 2 or commitment to achieving it would be required. Full training and support will be given.

Please note that there is little or no opportunity to watch the match in the Tea Shack so not suitable for someone wishing to enjoy the game!

If you know of someone who would like to join our friendly team and become a vital part of the town’s community based football club then please drop an email to our Vice Chair, Amy Weaver who would be delighted to hear from you. Her address is tonbridgeangels1948@gmail.com
