Michael Bakare Joins The Angels

5 years ago By Chris Varney

We are pleased to announce Michael Bakare has joined the Club.

After starting his career with Leyton, Michael played for Welling and Thurrock before joining Bishop's Stortford in 2010. It was there he first made a real impact, converting to a forward.

After netting nine goals in 14 games early in the 2011/12 season, Bakare joined Conference South club Chelmsford City on a free transfer. He continued his scoring streak with five goals in 10 games, which earned him a move to Football League side Macclesfield Town in January 2012.

Michael was limited to substitute appearances at Macclesfield, making nine appearances before moving to Conference Premier club Southport in July 2012. After 11 appearances for Southport and a loan move to Droylsdon, where he scored on his only appearance, Michael returned to Chelmsford.

Back at the Essex club, he played in several positions and scored five goals in 14 appearances for the Clarets.

Michael signed for Dover Athletic at the start of the season but with chances limited at The Crabble he has decided to join The Angels.
