New White Line machine comes to Longmead

4 months ago By Jim Rowe

Presentation from Rigby Taylor in recognition of Groundsman of the Year Awards

Rigby Taylor, a company that specialises in pitch maintenance equipment has presented the club with a new line marker in recognition of Peter Elves winning the FA Groundsman of the Year Awards.

David Ray, Technical Sales Representative for Rigby Taylor, visited Longmead recently to make the presentation to Pete.

The IGO Line Marker is used at Wembley Stadium, eleven Premier League clubs and seventeen Championship clubs and has won two Queens Awards for Innovation, and so represents British Engineering at its best. In other words it seems to be the line marker of choice amongst groundskeeping professionals.

We can anticipate some superb pitch marking for the visit of Wingate & Finchley this Saturday (1st September) - no pressure Pete!
