Peter Overton RIP

1 month ago By Jim Rowe

The passing of popular Kent footballer

Very sad news has reached the club today 19th December of the passing of Peter Overton at the age of 43 from an inoperable brain tumour.

A skilful and popular midfielder, Peter played for various senior non- league clubs in the county during the 90s and early 00’s including of course the Angels where he enjoyed a strong rapport with supporters.

Testament to his popularity was the staging of a benefit match at the Gallagher Stadium in 2017 in which many of his friends and players took part.

His wife Nadine said today : “My amazing husband sadly lost his battle this morning, he fought to the very end and was surrounded with love the whole time.”

The club wishes to convey its condolences to Nadine and all of his family and friends at this sad time.
