The Peter Overton Raffle

2 months ago By Jim Rowe

£1,710 raised for Peter and his family

The Peter Overton Raffle with tickets being sold on the Tuesday evening of the recent Maidstone United Kent Senior Cup match and on Monday when we played Folkestone Invicta in the Bostik Premier raised an amazing £1,710 which has now been paid into Peter's benevolent fund to help his family while he is unable to work.

Angels Chairman, Steve Churcher said today: "We may have ended up losing both games, but in reality it was a small matter compared with the very serious illness Peter is having to deal with. Football does sometimes get a bad press but at times like this supporters of different clubs set aside their rivalries and come together to help a really nice guy who lit up Kent football but who has recently hit some hard times. I would like to thank all those who donated prizes, helped to sell tickets and of course took part in the raffle including particularly those supporters from Maidstone United and Folkestone Invicta."

The draw took place on Bank Holiday Monday in the Longmead Lounge after the conclusion of the Folkestone Invicta game.

Here follows a list of unclaimed prizes which can be claimed by contacting Dave Brown on 07515 030 045 or by emailing Dave onDmbuk66@gmail.com Should any prizes remain unclaimed by 14th September, they will be auctioned and/or raffled further with all proceeds being donated to the Peter Overton Benevolent Fund:-
