Despite temperatures more akin to the Mediterranean, 32 volunteers turned up bright and early on Sunday 1st July and fortified by one of Amy Weaver’s delicious bacon rolls, carried out a number of tasks to help make the ground look spic and span for the forthcoming season.
Among the tasks carried out were:-
Washing and cleaning all the perimeter advertising boards
Emptying the pigeon hut of basically junk
Painting various building including the Tea Shack and Programme Hut
The creation of a Gym in the Kit Room

The club is extremely grateful for this valuable work which despite the energy sapping temperatures was carried out in a spirt of good humour and enthusiasm by directors, club officials, owners, supporters and players. Don’t worry if you missed out - another Volunteers Day is to be arranged possibly in the Autumn. Look out for announcements.
