It may be the close season but there is plenty of activity for Tonbridge Angels Ladies as they prepare for the 2017/18 season.
Fifteen members travelled to Newquay for a tournament in May which saw the squad divided into two teams and finish 4th and 7th out of 9. The emphasis was however firmly on fun and team bonding rather than results and overall the weekend was a resounding success.
There will be further tournament action for the ladies at Tunbridge Wells on 25th June and Vinters on 9th July.
Manager, Dan Couldridge is still looking for players to boost the squad and in this respect there will be open trials at Tonbridge Farm where ladies over 16 looking for a club can take part. Home league matches will continue to be played at Tonbridge Farm although entry to the SSE Women's FA Cup would result in home ties taking place at Longmead.
Training will take place at Hayesbrook School every Thursday starting 6th July between 7:00pm and 8:30pm with ladies of all abilities welcome and a charge of just £4.00 for each session.
The coaching team has been strengthened by the appointment of Reece Catt. Reece is a FA Level 1 coach and currently coaches at youth level for Sevenoaks Town.
Popular midfielder Poppy Gilden is now recovering after a successful knee operation following injuries to her cruciate ligament and meniscus. Everyone at the club wishes her a speedy recovery.
