96th minute equaliser denies Angels all the points
It was a game of Three halves!
Being 2 - 0 up on 90 minutes, those watching may have felt that the young Angels team had secured 3 points from this game. A reasonable thought, but wrong.
The reserves were 1- 0 in the lead at half time but not happy with the level of performance. A well struck goal from debutant Jorge Perez gave the home side the advantage at the break, but having outplayed Binfield for large proportions of the game, perhaps it should have been more.
The first period of the second half was also dominated by the Angels and this period rewarded with a clever finish from a set piece by Callum Adonis-Taylor having reverted to the centre half position following a spell in midfield.
Looking to see the game out, the young side started to rush things and gave away a series of cheap free kicks in dangerous positions. Binfield bombarded the box with crosses and these resulted in goals in the 90th and 96th minute, the second being a mad goalmouth scramble. No further ball was kicked as the referee blew for full time. On another day the side would have held out, but this felt like 2 points lost as Binfield rightly celebrated their last minute comeback.
